Ossid offers two styles of tray sealing solutions:
- Lidding is when a flexible film is heat sealed to the flange of a rigid tray and leaves space between the product and the film. Lidded packages can also be gas (MAP) flushed to extend product shelf life.
- Vacuum skinning (VSP) is when air is removed from the tray while the film is heat sealed to the entire interior of the tray. The film will contour to the product keeping moisture in and air out.
These package styles are ideal for fresh produce, proteins, seafood, ready meals and more.
