Pro Mach expands horizontal form, fill, seal solutions with acquisition of Mahaffy & Harder Engineering

CINCINNATI - Pro Mach, Inc. announced today the acquisition of the product line and certain assets of Mahaffy & Harder Engineering Company, a leading provider of horizontal thermoform, fill, seal and tray sealing packaging equipment.
With the acquisition of New Jersey-based Mahaffy & Harder's product line, Pro Mach adds capabilities for designing and manufacturing equipment that produces high quality vacuum, modified atmosphere and ambient packages. Mahaffy & Harder's product line, which accommodates a wide range of flexible and semi-rigid packaging materials, provides reliable, high-speed, high-performance solutions for products across numerous markets, including medical devices, fresh and processed meats, convenience foods and consumer goods.
Mahaffy & Harder will become part of Pro Mach's Ossid division, located in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Ossid, part of Pro Mach's Primary Packaging Business Unit, is a leading provider of leak proof packaging and labeling solutions for case-ready protein products.
